Fire Action

We supply BSI kitemark-bearing fire extinguishers

In an emergency situation, fire extinguishers have been a vital asset in stopping a fire from spreading. In the UK, all commercial premises are required by law to have them in place throughout the building. At Fire Action, we supply fire extinguishers to a wide range of businesses and organisations across the Maidstone area. Example industries that we work in include education, hospitality, retail, healthcare, manufacturing and construction to name but a few.

What are the different classes of fire extinguishers?

Fire extinguishers are broken into 6 different categories that include:

  • Class A – Fires involving organic materials (paper and coal)
  • Class B – Fires involving flammable liquids (petrol, diesel and paint)
  • Class C – Fires involving flammable gases (butane and methane)
  • Class D – Fires involving flammable metals
  • Class E – Fires involving electrical equipment
  • Class F – Fires involving cooking oils

If you are unsure on what class you require in your building, or would like to know where we work outside of Maidstone, please get in touch.
